Opportunity History now standard

Our customers have had the ability to record the changes made to an Opportunity for some time now, as an option on our Enterprise Edition. We’ve even blogged about it in the article 5 Features you might not know about. However, by the time people realise that they want it, normally because they want to see how an Opportunity has changed over time or report which Opportunities have been changed this month, it is too late as the Opportunity History has not been turned on.

So from today we are making Opportunity History standard in all CRM Editions, and also releasing a new View in the Listing Report Writer so you can report on it.

With Opportunity History you can see the history of an Opportunity as it moves forward (or backwards!) through the sales funnel. The Close Date, Status, Probability, Forecast Status and Value plus who made the change and the date of the change are logged.
