Today I live in Sydney, Australia, but I was born in the UK and studied for a Combined Arts (History and Politics) degree at University of Leicester. After a series of jobs whilst studying, including one as a Christmas postman, I settled in for a 20 year stint with the accounting software company, Systems Union. My time there introduced me to a variety of roles in product and account management and I enjoyed time based in London, Sydney and Singapore.
In 2008 a change in direction led me to join Really Simple Systems as Regional Manager for Australia. I look after the company’s interests down-under doing sales, account management and customer support – I just don’t do programming!
Outside of office hours I am a mad keen road cyclist – some might even say crazy! I get up early so that I am out on my bike just after 5 am each day and average around 10,000 km per year, which is more than I do in my car!
I still manage to find time for a bit of bush walking and completed the Oxfam 100 km Sydney walk in 2010 in a team of 4, and I enjoy watching the English soccer on television each week. I am also a keen supporter of the England rugby and cricket teams which leads to many interesting debates with my Australian friends!
